Find out if it is legal to grow cannabis in your home, and if not, you can start planning a move to one of these eight states:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Alaska<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In Alaska, adults at least 21 or older can legally grow cannabis in their home. The grower does not have to register to the authorities and can grow up to 6 plants, with only 3 matured and flowering. The limit is double if there are at least two adults who meet the minimum age requirements. However, this will not scale for more adults.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Arizona<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>While Arizona does not have recreational cannabis, they do allow home grow for medical purposes. A qualifying patient can designate a caregiver. This caregiver will have to be approved by the state and will have to live at least 25 miles from the closest dispensary. A caregiver can grow&nbsp; up to 12 plants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>California<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Always progressive, anyone above the age of 21 can grow cannabis. A resident can have up to 6 plants, no matter how many plants reside there. Medical card holders do deal with uncertainty as there are differences in the wording between Prop215 and SB240.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Colorado<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Adults over the age of 21 can grow cannabis in Colorado. The individual can raise up to 6 plants with 3 flowering at once. If multiple qualifying adults inhabit the same space, then a maximum of 12 can be grown.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Hawaii<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Registered patients and caregivers can grow in Hawaii for medical purposes. Both patient and caregiver need to register with the state and can grow a maximum of 10 plants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Maine&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Adults above the age of 21 can grow marijuana. A total of 6 mature and 12 immature plants can be cultivated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Massachusetts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Like many others with recreational cannabis laws, Massachusetts allows residents to grow cannabis in their homes. Each house can grow up to 6 plants. If more than 2 adults are present, 12 plants can be grown.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Michigan<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Adults&nbsp; who are older than 21 can grow up to 12 cannabis plants at home. Caregivers can grow up to 12 plants to assist a maximum of 5 patients, totaling 60 plants for patients. They can also keep 12 for themselves. Caregiver\u2019s must register with the state.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Nevada<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>An individual above the age of 21 can grow cannabis, but only if there are no state-licensed retail stores within 25 miles. A total of 12 plants can be grown per household.
